Kicking Off the 2017 Sponsorship Campaign
My name is Scott Rampy and I’m the President of the Rampy MS Research Foundation. My family formed our foundation in November 2011 and 2012 marked our first event called the TRIFEST for MS held over Labor Day weekend. The mission of our foundation is to direct and support MS research by donating dollars to the best universities and hospitals in the U.S. We partnered with UAMS in Little Rock in our first year to launch this effort.
Our model is different: 75% of the money we raise–and 100% of racer registration–goes directly to the doctors on the front line of finding a cure for MS.
Results From Our 5th Year
- 100% of racer registration fees go directly to research
- Reached our goal of raising $50k
- 945 competitors participated
- 20 Para Tri Open competitors
- 92 Trifesta Challenge competitors (people that do a total of 57.04 miles over the two days)
- 145 Kids Ages 5-14
- 350 volunteers
- Triple Treat Racing, Rogers, AR awarded as 2016 Tri Club Team Champion
- Grew Celebrate Relay Challenge Event to 28 teams
- Awarded P&G, Bentonville, AR as the 2016 Celebrate Corporate Relay Champion
As a result of 2016’s 5th TRIFEST for MS, we will present the doctors at UAMS, Dr. Paul Drew, Dr. Patricia Wight, and Dr. Lee Archer with a check for $70,000 to continue their efforts to finding a cure for MS. This makes our fifth year contribution to the doctors $250,000 to aid their efforts to find a break through for this disease and completes our 5 year commitment with the doctors.
Make Your Mark with Us
In 2017, we will host the 6th annual TRIFEST for MS with a goal of raising another $50,000. The goal starting with the 6th annual Trifest will be to award satellite research grants.
Based on the data from our 5th annual Trifest for MS, we know we attract 945 competitors from Arkansas and the surrounding 14 states. We had racers from age 5 to adults, covering a range of abilities: from beginner to professional, kids, and people living with MS who complete their first triathlon while battling this disease. We continue to grow our Para Open Tri which welcomes athletes of all levels and abilities and is a highlight of the event.
Not only do we offer races for the beginners, two local pros, Erin Dolan and Derek Yorek, participated in our professional field competing for a share of $5,000 in prize money. A new event, the Celebrate Corporate Challenge, attracted 28 teams and P&G was awarded the traveling trophy.
Many Opportunities, Big Impact
Our plans for 2017 are many and we want to take the 6th Annual Trifest for MS to the next level. Please review our sponsorship packet for opportunities to help change lives to save lives. If you are an existing sponsor, thank you for partnering with us and we hope you will extend your sponsorship in 2017 and consider increasing your level of support.
If you are a new sponsor we hope you jump in with both feet and catch our momentum as we build the TRIFEST for MS story. We pride our event that we reach the beginner and the expert so we understand starting at one level and progressing to the next, so we are open to your interest at a level that makes sense for your company.
Goals for 2017:
- Donate $70,000 to the research doctors
- Build attendance around the 5K running event
- Expand event brochure company/brand ads to our top level sponsors (see levels for details)
- Increase participation to over 950 racers
- Increase pro competitors from 5 to 10
- Increase tri club team representation from 12 to 15 teams
- Encourage supplier community
to compete as hard outside the aisle as they do in them thru the Celebrate! Corporate Challenge.
- Offer new custom medal
We have a large line up and we hope you will consider our event in your 2017 budget. If your budget does not allow for consideration this year, consider volunteering as a team, compete as a team in the corporate challenge team, contribute to our silent auction or come out and cheer on the pros.
One Team, One Dream!
